As a college student from the midwest who has never been outside of the United States, Abby Riffel has decided to use her last summer before graduating as a way to put herself out there– literally.

Abby Riffel is an award-winning student journalist in her senior year of college in Branson, Missouri. Growing up in the midwest, she hasn’t had much experience with cities or traveling, yet she decided to spend her last summer in Paris before she graduates – to learn more about the world and her place in it.
She recently received a NATAS Mid-America Student Production Award in College Craft Writing, was recognized by the Missouri Broadcasters Association for feature news story and scriptwriting news, and the Society of Professional Journalists for her work in television feature reporting.
